It was another great day in the park!
With more than 225 physicians, family members, and four-legged friends, the park at Cadboro-Gyro Beach was hopping on the second Sunday afternoon in September.
Our 4th Annual South Island Physicians’ BBQ brought together members of the South Island MSA, Victoria Division of Family Practice, South Island Division of Family Practice, and Saanich Peninsula Physicians Society as a way to reconnect our medical community.
Bouncy castles, a food truck, a photo booth, and information tents served as the backdrop for an afternoon of fun, connection, and celebration. Specialists and FPs met face-to-face for the first time. New family members met old medical school classmates. New-to-town physicians connected with their soon-to-be colleagues.
We’d especially like to thank the physicians at the Planetary Health tent (showcasing the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment and the Doctors and Nurses for Planetary Health) for sharing their passion and expertise, and Beth Cairns of the Victoria Hospitals Foundation for adding another dimension of appreciation to the day.
