In April 2019, Doctors of BC conducted its fourth annual Health Authority Engagement Survey of physicians which seeks to determine their level of engagement and interaction with their respective health authority.
The 2019 Doctors of BC Health Authority Engagement Survey Report provides a summary of physician engagement with health authorities across the province while allowing for comparisons across regions and physician practice types. In addition to asking the same nine questions from Health Standards Organization’s Work Life Pulse Tool for Physicians since 2016, this year we included two new questions to help measure how physicians feel about levels of psychological health and physical safety in local facilities.
The Supplemental Report is also available and includes a detailed breakdown of the questions with regards to facilities, divisions and medical leadership.
