Each member of our medical community has pulled together at this challenging time. We’re delighted to share some inspiring stories of leadership, professionalism, and collegiality, as we introduce you to our peer-nominated COVID All-Stars.
Dr. Vanessa Young provided a warm nomination for Dr. Alicia Power, former Division Head for Family Physician Obstetrics, whose community practice is in View Royal. As shared by Dr. Young:
“Alicia saw a maternity care gap in the COVID response, chased it down, and fixed it, through collaboration with the COVID Task Force. Dr. Power is a maternity care champion in Victoria, and we are so lucky to have her as part of our physician community.”
Alicia recognizes her community-based colleagues in Family Practice, FP OB, and Pediatrics, as well as the learners, administrative staff, and patient support team at Grow Health, who have been on the forefront of adapting maternity and primary care in light of the COVID pandemic.
