Effectively managing and distributing the workflow associated with referrals has been a source of frustration for physicians for many years, leading to tension between family physicians and specialist physicians. This has led the Transitions in Care team to launch a new project, “Collaborative Processes for Specialist Referrals”.
Through a small amount of funding from Shared Care, we are working to create opportunities to engage specialists and family physicians through collegial and collaborative conversations that explore system limitations and develop an understanding of how to improve upon them.
One of our first steps is to gain perspective from family and specialist physicians throughout Victoria. We would like to invite you to share your perspective by completing a survey via the link below. We value your time and will provide a 0.5 hour sessional for completing the survey. You will need to include your contact information so you can be compensated.
