Your hard work, talent, and commitment to our hospitals deserves recognition. Please join us on September 15 to celebrate another tremendous year of dedication to our hospitals and the philanthropic contributions of our Victoria Hospitals Foundation donors.
Physicians from Royal Jubilee, Victoria General, and Gorge Road hospitals are invited to join me and the Victoria Hospitals Foundation’s fundraising team for the unveiling of our 2021-22 Annual Report. Last fiscal year (April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022), VHF donors raised over $17.9 million for equipment, special projects, research, and education, supporting all three of our Victoria hospitals. Donor support helped fund 127 pieces of priority equipment, enabling 2,236,000 tests, scans, surgeries, and patient interactions. This equipment includes 14 defibrillators, seven ventilators, five ultrasounds, four medication dispensing cabinets, and more tools that you and your colleagues use every day to care for your patients.
And, thanks to the generosity of our giving community, Victoria Hospitals Foundation has committed an additional $9.4 million in future funding for initiatives related to capital projects, equipment, research, and education.
As a physician, you play many vital roles within our hospitals. One of these roles you may not even be aware of: you inspire giving every day.
